Read all about the difference between bantu knots, twist-outs, braid-outs and wash an go’s!
Bantu Knots

When I was first transitioning in 2017 to be a no-heat natural, bantu knots were my go-to! I discovered this style from a YouTube tutorial because I was tired of not knowing what to do with my natural hair. This was the first natural style I ever did to hide my heat damage and show off my curls. Plus they are super easy to do and take down!
Twist-Outs

Twist outs are super cute and I just recently learned the trick to mastering it and it’s having a good mousse! It is also important to let you hair dry while in these styles before taking them down to prevent unwanted frizz.
Braid-Outs

I also used to be a big braid out girly! Once I got comfortable enough I would typically leave the braids in for a few days to a week depending on how I felt to make the style last longer and for length retention. Until I cut my heat damage out completely all I did was braid-out’s on repeat. Also, braid-outs you can add a little spice to your braids by leaving some curly pieces out!
Wash-and-Go’s

I just want to preface that a wash-and-go is NOT simply a wash-and-go, it does require product and styling! Something that I learned after many failed attempts. However, this has been my new favorite style when it comes to defining my curls, and it is quicker for me than do twists or braids.
